Some of the Base Game rules are changed when you play with the On the Brink expansion pack.
- The game can now be played with 5 players. At the start of the game, each player is dealt two cards.
- Instead of putting 5 Events cards into the Player Deck, all of the Event cards are shuffled and 2 cards per player are added to the Player Deck.
- There is now a Legendary difficulty setting, which uses 7 Epidemic cards. Note: when you draw the 7th Epidemic card, the Infection Rate stays at 4. Not for the faint of heart!
